I love to write, although English is not my first language (almost) so you'll have bear with me and be patient until I get up to speed. I am also new on Hubapges and still learning the ropes. I should get better with time, as good wines do. At least, that's what I expect. 

I am from northen Spain --the beatiful and green Basque Country-- but have been living in Canada since 2001.

I have been around a bit over the years, spanning three continents over my lifetime. I was born in South Africa from a Spanish dad and English mom, but didn't stay there for long and was actually raised in Spain (that's what the previous almost stands for. I am rather more fluent and confortable writing in Spanish). I also did my schooling, university studies in Economics and worked in France for several years.  

Now, I live in Ottawa and am happily married and have two beautiful girls.

My range of interests is pretty wide. I expect my topics to touch mostly on Spanish food and wine, travelling through Spain, economics -I'll try make the dismal part of the science part less so- and martial arts. As I go on there will almost certainly other subjects that will pop up, but for a start, I'll go with these.
